If you require financial assistance to cover all or part of your hockey registration fees, we strongly encourage you to contact one of the following organizations for such assistance as soon as possible. 
 
The Canadian Tire Jump Start Program – Ottawa Chapter.  “The Big Play” program assists those families who are financially disadvantaged.  The program is brought to families by the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and the Hockey Canada Foundation.  Anyone between the ages of 4-18, fit the financial criteria and are registered with an HEO/ODMHA minor hockey association would be eligible up to $500/child.   The sooner one applies the better your chances of receiving assistance if you qualify.​  More information is at jumpstart.canadiantire.ca

Mission: To provide low-income families with the means to enroll their children in local sports and recreational programs. By alleviating the financial costs of enrollment fees, children can develop the confidence, social skills, and healthy lifestyles attainable through sport.
What makes us different: Children that have received sponsorship are required to "pay it forward" through Their Opportunity's give-back program. Children use the skills they have developed through sport to enhance the community through service and engagement.

Gill Read Memorial Foundation: 
The foundation’s program is set up to promote, foster and increase access to amateur sport through the provisions of financial assistance and support to children ages 5 to 18 who might not otherwise be able to participate in amateur sport due to the associated costs.
The program assists financially disadvantaged families in getting their individual children, aged 5 to 18 involved in sports and recreational programs. A maximum of $500 would be provided for each child to assist with expenses. The maximum per child is required in order to assist as many children as possible.
