Bantam A wins Gold at Valley East Minor Hockey Association Bantam Tournament

The Gloucester Cougars Bantam A team travelled to Sudbury and participated in a very well-organized and fun tournament, the Valley East Minor Hockey Association Bantam Tournament on November 25-27, 2016.
Coaching staff were thrilled to see scoring spread around and contributions coming from all players, resulting in two resounding round robin wins and a trip to the championship round ¼ finals. A convincing 6-1 playoff win there resulted in a bye straight to the finals! Following a team photo at ‘The Big Nickel’, Cougars took to the ice to play Team Stayfit Fitness.

With another complete effort, they were ecstatic to win the championship finals! Big thanks to Coach Mario and all those who contributed to an awesome out of town tournament. With scoring from a variety of players, solid defensive play, outstanding goaltending, and a low number of penalties, the Cougars put together a great weekend of hockey and should be proud of their gold medals! Congrats Bantam A!!
